The Holmes Report, known for its comprehensive qualitative analysis of the public relations agency business, has released its 2009 report card on PR firms. Once again, Trylon SMR was evaluated in a very positive light as "media relations with a technology focus."

Each company review is designed to provide potential clients and prospective employees with insight into the firm's recent performance, culture, and specific areas of strength and weakness. It is compiled based on information provided by the firm itself, interviews with clients, and feedback from industry opinion leaders.

The report noted our ability to get out ahead of new media trends and using the changes taking place in the industry to our clients' advantage. It also specifically notes our proprietary process of "reverse reporting" - working with reporters to develop a storyline according to their needs. Utilizing new technologies when appropriate but sticking to the fundamentals of developing strong media relationships has helped to set Trylon SMR apart from the competition.

A few of the newer technologies that were reported as being incorporated into our media relations efforts were the use of social media such as Twitter, podcasts and online video. It also covered the growing success of our blog NYConvergence.

The Holmes Report points out that Trylon SMR is results-focused, choosing to bill on a monthly retainer instead of traditional hourly fees. In explaining the company's values, the report simply quoted Trylon SMR's motto: "We sell results, not time."

We appreciate good reviews from analysts such as The Holmes Report, but our greatest satisfaction comes from the results we deliver on behalf of our clients.
