In a recently published letter to the New York Sun, Trylon SMR president Lloyd Trufelman noted that telecommunications and wireless infrastructure issues should be considered in Mayor Michael Bloomberg's long-range 2030 growth plan for New York City. "Applications such as telecommuting, e-learning, broadband content, social networking, and other emerging trends will have a marked impact on the city in the coming years,” he wrote.

Recent research by two University of Chicago economists studied 417 newspapers – 70 percent of total newspaper circulation in the U.S. – for bias and found that newspapers are more likely than not to reflect their readers' views and political leanings.
